Hello and welcome to INFJ Art Forums! Like all forums, there will be rules and guidelines on what type of content is accepted, forum etiquette, what kind of pictures you can post, links, etc. As long as you follow the rules here, we staff and the admin will have no problems. Please read this thread before posting anything on the forums. It will help us staff keep the peace and making sure that everyone has fun.
Rules:
Forum Etiquette
1. Always remain polite and courteous to other members while posting in threads.
2. Try and stay on topic according to the OP (Original Poster/Post).
3. No thread hijacking. If you want to discuss another topic other than what the OP has posted about, you can start another topic/thread about it. There is no need to use a thread to discuss things that are not of particular interest to the OP. If in the event that you feel that you are going off topic, post in quotes first indicating the off topic comment, then outside the quotes, type in something like, "Sorry for the off-topic comment, please continue with the OP's topic." This will keep the thread's discussion flowing without other members getting confused about what was being talked about from the start of the thread. Example of how to do this:
Sorry for the off-topic comment, guys. Please continue the discussion.
If you find yourself making more off-topic posts along with another forum member, you can take you discussion to PM. We would rather that be done than making a new thread if the off-topic comments get to be over powering the current thread that you and other members are posting in. You may only start a new thread if 3 or more members go on about the off-topic comments. If it is only just two members, then you can either take it to the forum's chat or via PM. If in fact the comments made are of a personal nature between both members, then do not use the forum's chat for talking about these matters. PM each other instead.
4. If you see a post that is inappropriate and breaks the forums rules, PM a staff member right away when you see it. This can lower chances of other guests, new members and members in general from wanting to defend against the statement, feel the need to flame the post/poster who posted it, etc. This way we can keep the forums from as less chaos as possible. Although this forum is for everyone, there will be other personality types that are members of this forum that might not see it as just a "joke". Please bear in mind that everyone comes from a different background and there will always be differences amongst us all.
5. NO FLAMING. No indirect insults to bully another member. No direct insults to bully a member. No TROLLING. NO BULLYING, period. If you have ANY concerns about another member's posts, comment or remarks towards another member(s) of this forum, please PM a staff member immediately. We will handle it. There is no reason why everyone can't get along with each other. There is also no need to try and tell the other poster of rude comment how and what to post. Instead, kindly refer them to this thread, if a mishap does happen. You can do this when there are NO staff members online to talk to the member. Should you engage in conversation with the offensive poster, be sure to be polite and friendly. If the persons continues to post rude comments, ignoring them would be the next best thing to do until a staff member can address the situation at hand.
6. In-thread warnings will only be issued if there happens to be a small altercation or disagreement. If there is a post that was made completely inappropriate to the forums, then you receive a official warning. A forum member can get only get 3 official warnings. If you act up over the 3 official warnings, you will be temporarily banned from INFJ Art Forums. The temporary ban can be up to about 3 months depending on how bad the offense was. Sometimes even longer. This does not mean that you wait out the temporary ban just to get back on the forums to start up the chaos once again. The temporary ban is more like a time-out and cool off session to allow you some time away from the forums to reflect upon your actions. Staff members are not allowed to make crude, rude or sly remarks to the poster at ANY costs. See Staff Member Rules/Guidelines for more details.
7. No goodbye threads. If you feel that you need to leave INFJ Art Forums for any reason, there is no real reason to want to broadcast it in a thread. If you have made friends here and wish to tell them goodbye, then do so in a PM. Any goodbye threads that are posted will be locked and a verbal warning will be issued inside the thread. This goes the same for any threads that are not accepted here at INFJ Art Forums. See Types of Threads that can be posted for more details.
8. No hararseing our staff members. This falls under the no bullying rule. In no way should a staff member be verbally attacked or bullied under any condition. If you have any concerns about a staff member's actions, PM the admin first. Do not PM the staff member and hararse them via PM for any reason. If there happens to be a on-going dispute between both the staff member and the forum member, the admin will handle it. In your PM to the admin, you must include proper evidence that states your claims against the staff member and the same thing goes for the staff member in question. Use screenshots if possible or if you can copy and paste the remarks into quotes, then that is okay too. Give the admin time to review each claim from both parties. This will take normally up to about 4 days or even sooner depending on how serious the case is. Hopefully, the case shouldn't be too bad.
9. Always post in the correct board when posting threads. If you are unsure about it, then include a message somewhere in your post about it. If you find your thread was moved from where you originally posted it, that means that the thread has been moved to it's respectful area. If you find your thread moved, you should receive a PM from the staff member that moved it. If you object to your thread being moved, please PM either the staff member that moved it or another staff member about it.
10. Criticism will be handled in terms of a member ASKING for it. By no means necessary should you give criticism where the OP does not state it. If you are giving a critique about an artist's work, please be very tactful with your approach. Do not post short lines without an proper explanation to go behind it. Everyone will have some type of sensitivity towards their works and should be allowed that, if they deem your critique to be harsh or brash. There will be several moderators on that part of the forums due to a lot of the policing to keep the peace.
If you do not like a particular art piece, do not comment on it, leave it be. This is how flame wars start and we will not have any here.
11. Requesting art work or personal avatar done by another artist is allowed if you give credit to the artist in your signature. The same goes for signatures as well. If you find that you are not credited for your work, then PM a staff member and we will take care of the issue. If there is no staff online at the time you spotted it, then PM the Admin, to get this issue solved. Or you can kindly PM the person and ask them if to credit you in their signature for your work. If they won't, then the image will be deleted from their avatar or signature and be issued a official warning.
12. We do not allow others selling their artwork here on the forums. There are other sites where you can do that like Deviant Art.
13. Community art can ONLY be used on this site. The Community Art Thread will have a special set of rules. Read before posting anything you'd like to share with the community here.
14. Please try and refrain for using profanity on this site. We have members of various ages that visit this site from time to time and don't need to see such vulgar language being used in a thread. If you have to use it, please indicate in your thread name about what type of language will be used or only use the first and last letters of the words with asterisks for the rest of the word. Typically, such words will be censored on this site, but some can get really creative....
15. Any other concerns or suggestions that you may have about INFJ Art Forums, please feel free to make a thread or post your ideas/issues in the Site Info part of the forums.
This post will be updated when new things are brought to the attention of the Staff here.
